• Training update for 12/16

I have returned.  For some reason after a race I always feel the need to take some time to process everything before I post a race report.  It always seems to taker longer than I desire.  I have also been working on a special project which has taken a lot of my extra time.  (Perhaps I will post it at a later time)

The good news– The Tallahassee 50k went off without a hitch.  No real disaster, calamity or major problems that day.  I was really pleased to wrap up my year with this race.  The only thing I can say is that near the end of the race I could feel my lack of training for this fall.  This was not unexpected and really in my mind any time you start going that kind of distance you just never know how you will feel.  So overall I was pleased, but I also know that I have work to do as well.

I have one more scheduled upcoming race in just over three weeks which is the Disney Half Marathon.  I am praying for warmer weather this year.  Also there is still time to help with my fundraising efforts in the fight for breast cancer.

    Stay warm!

    Happy running….

Welcome back Trey! Sounds like you have quite a story to tell, I can only imagine after a nice 50K Jaunt …. Congratulations on another tremendous effort.

I’ll be running Ragnar Del Sol after Austin this year, I may be picking your brain for some Overnight Relay strategy – I’ll have 3 legs to run as part of the 12 person team covering 202 miles.

I’ll have 4 days to rest after the Austin Marathon, so I’m sure I’ll be fine :)

I was just reading that Joe. I will be more than happy to help in the cause and would love to help for your Relay. Plenty of time! :) that is just our style! Run hard and hold on for dear life!

It is hard to explain those relays until you do one. Such a bond that gets formed in 24 hours of running together. You have to experience to understand. You will love it!
