“We cannot become what we need to be by remaining what we are.” Max DePree
One of the things so unique about training for the marathon is the process involved. You can get ready for a 5K or 10K in just a few weeks. Getting ready for a marathon to run your best takes time. You have to become better to be ready.
You might have to get up at 4am to get in your runs.
You have to clean up your diet and get the right fuel in your system.
You have to get to bed earlier and get your rest.
You have so say “no” to many things in order to get in your training.
I have often told others if you have a desire to run a marathon you will know it. It takes to much time and effort that a slight desire to run won’t work.
Doing anything else for change is just the same. You can’t become something or someone better by doing the same things you do today. What are the actions you need to take to become better?
Is it getting up earlier?
Is it cleaning up what you take in? Eating or reading?
Is it having someone push you to places you did not think were possible?
11 1/2 weeks to New York!
Happy running….
